You are thinking about committing suicide because of autism?

Can anyone tell me why contrast is thinking about suicide? He keeps talking about it but doesn't state why...

After some research I found that the issue @Contrast has is chronic pain. I also see that you said it is intermediate meaning it comes and goes. Since it is not painful every second of the day everyday surely life is still worth living? Just like tinnitus you have good days and bad days. Why not live for the good days? Have you done research into other drugs that may help? What about the root cause of the issue? Can it be resolved?

It is official. In these hard times we need a strong ruler. I am taking over the following of MPP roles since these roles have been abandoned:

Pope
Chief Scientific Officer
CEO
COO
CFO
Chief Biologist
Chief Botanist
Chief Chef
Chief Chief

I promise to do absolutely nothing in these roles. I promise to be for and with the people of MPP. I will be a great ruler and right hand man of @threefirefour.

Thank you MPP commoners for your support and getting me to where I am today. I will take this role very seriously. All questions or inquiries to me go through @Manny, the assistant regional Pope of MPP.

This concludes today's ceremonies. There will be no further questions now or ever.

HI @HeavyMantra

I read one of your posts saying you have bought a pair of ProAc SM100 speakers. I am just wondering are you happy with them and what type of stands have you placed them on? Out of interest I would appreciate if you could tell me what ancillary equipment you have connected to them: Amplifier and source?

Thanks
Michael

@JohnAdams is CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER and POPE of MPP.

My colleague @JohnAdams has already reverse engineered FX-322, and Hough Ear's pill for hearing regeneration and knows that it works. He is a renegade thinker and understands the deep principals of regenerative biology.
He is ushering in a new era of CHRISTIAN SCIENCE that refutes that materialist atheistic world view.

John would be busy on the forum refuting your nonsense, but he is busy destroying Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins on a debate on God and the meaning of life. He has much more important things to do.

As current Pope of MPP I am happy you brought this matter to my attention.

I am not sure how he reverse engineered those items you listed and knows they work. Can you send me the trials where he tested them?

I am happy he is a pioneer of Christian Science, whatever that may be, but MPP is a place of true science without any influence of Christianity.

I am surprised he decided to take a hiatus right after causing the trouble he did. Instead of accepting and apologizing for his actions he left to debate Richard Dawkins? I'm not sure how he is going to prove God exists since there is no evidence... surely a true Chief Scientific Officer would know this? I don't think Sam Harris or Richard Dawkins will respond to him? I highly doubt it.

Regardless, I am happy the man the held my role previously has found a new purpose in life after abandoning his post.

I miss @JohnAdams tbh.

He is one of the maybe 10-20 people on here that consistently wanted to breakdown the science of regenerative medicine. I don't agree with some of what he says in general but he was *insanely* good at sparking up more technical conversation.

Some of us need to really understand and discuss the breakthroughs that are coming our way.

No offense, I don't recognize you as pope of MPP, that post was taken. You are free to take another post that you deem as unworthy and ineffective... perhaps you should head the BTA or ATA.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Whether you accept it or not, I am Pope and my influence on MPP will be HUGE.

All further questions and comments can be addressed to @Manny.

This probably isn't the right thread for that, but I've got them on Isoacoustics Aperta 200 stands. Using custom built Hypex NC400 monoblocks with Furutech connectors and some internal silver wiring (might just replace this with copper). I got some free pure copper speaker cables from the ProAc dealer until I buy proper ones, which will most likely be pure copper cables from Wireworld. I have Wireworld Stratus power cables for the monoblocks. The source is my computer through an Apogee Duet 2 which is a soundcard for music recording/production.

This is just the bare minimum I need to start investigating how my ears react to music/the speakers. If all goes well then I will continue to build on this setup. I would like a pre-amp that has an option to mellow the sound out even more when desired, and better cables of course. Right now I'm only hearing the speakers/cables themselves since the Hypex is basically extremely neutral power and nothing more.

Very happy with most aspects of them, but using them at very low volume leaves a lot to be desired compared to other studio monitors I've heard. I guess that's a tradeoff I have to live with if you want the velvety ProAc sound. It feels like a versatile speaker that I could use for everything the next decade.

Currently listening to some pretty expensive birdsong. It literally sounds like I just opened up a window to the forest outside, very realistic and soothing. Human speech also sounds very realistic. And music is amazingly beautiful although a moderate 14 kHz tone doesn't exactly do wonders for musical enjoyment.

Well done Michael. You lasted all of 4 weeks before you broke your contract.

Well done Michael. You lasted all of 4 weeks before you broke your contract.

I am an Audiophile and couldn't resist asking HeavyMantra about his HI-FI set up. As I have 2 sets of ProAc speakers: D28 and Tablette Reference 8 Signitures, it was this that sparked my interest in HM ProAc SM100s. I am not discussing tinnitus so in effect I haven't broken the contract.

I think this is one of the more pleasant correspondences I have had with you.

@HeavyMantra

Thanks for the information as it is always interesting to correspond with another HI-FI enthusiast and to know the set-up of their audio system. I like the fact you are using specialist Power Cables and respect that you are true Audiophile, well done. Hope you have Mains conditioning too? Or to be added in the future. Hope you don't mind me mentioning Nordost QX4 and QX2 mains purifiers, they will work with any existing mains conditioner and believe me, when I say your system will sing even more than it is now. The sound-stage will increase in width, height and depth. Demarcation between instruments will be more marked and precise.

Take care
Michael

Aside from his abrasive communication style there are many posts with very valuable input from his side.

Hope everybody can just get over it and move on. We need more people to support our goals, not less.

Friction is unavoidable when egos meet and JohnAdams may have gone overboard in certain statements to the Tinnitus Hub staff, but he was very much on our side. Hope he'll be back after his cool down.

I honestly think much comes from his frustration that the tinnitus community at large is stuck in the same old same old. When you want things to change there is going to be a clash with the old way of thinking at some point.

I agree though that his approach was probably not ideal and at times just too aggressive and confrontational for some people.

In my humble opinion though he is right in many things he says, but it's also obvious that it's easier to strongly voice your opinion than to actually take action in a way that really moves things forward for our community, while keeping everyone aboard and aligned. I believe he can still learn to improve in that regard, that more is required to change the world than just proving that your way of thinking is best.

In all seriousness I can't tell if you are joking or not. Is he seriously doing this? Are you trolling?

@threefirefour confirm or deny?

This tool clearly isn't that advanced, it's a crawler that searches html and CSS code. It has its flaws obviously. But it's better than nothing.
