My Tinnitus Is Fading 4% Each Month

Spike intensity is reduced by 25%.

Fasting is the best medicine that people ignore.

I am gonna eliminate T and reverse mild hearing loss in left ear.

I am happy that my formula is working.

Thanks god for showing the road to find it.

I miss sugar, kinda, and would love to dive into an apple pie,

You may want to try add a natural sweetener called stevia for sweetness. Stevia is an extract from a plant but containing no sugar even though it tastes sweet. It is the sweetener of choice used by many people on diabetic meal plan, including myself. You can google stevia and read about it. Here is an extract on a discussion board about stevia and ketogenic diet:

I have been on a ketogenic diet for five years and have consumed stevia consistently without any problem at all. The reason is there are no "sugars" or saccharides in stevia, at all. It is an herb and the only natural sweetener that I recommend to my clients.

As I am interested in ketogenic diet and tips from people who have been or are on it, I quickly clicked on the link above, but I didn't find anything about ketogenic diet on that page. Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?

@billie48
Yes, I noticed that.
Well, the second link is good, so thank you!

Yes I know of stevia. As with all of those shifts of sweeteners, I'm not really a big fan of the taste. I get my sugar cravings mostly satisfied from berries lol. Berries and whipped cream, and plain yogurt.

Can we please have an update on your progress with keto?
Not much to update here at this time. It's easy not to eat wheat, and I haven't in 2 weeks now.
I still eat some starches, mostly in the form of potatoes, sweet potatoes and yams, but I try to limit them.
I no longer eat white rice, but still have whole grain rice (brown, red etc) but in limited quantities.
Btw, cauliflower rice is a great replacement for white rice. Grate it up, fry it in a pan with garlic, onions, and bacon. Delicious.

Can we please have an update on your progress with keto?

Hi guys!
I just started to go on full keto a couple of days ago. It will take a couple of weeks before the effect kicks in.
Generally (has nothing to do with the diet) regarding my T, the spikes has lowered from 6-8/10 to about 5-6/10. Also the fluctuation has lowered a bit, both less bad days and good days. I have more medium days now. I also think all the different sounds I hear has become a bit less. I hope this is a good thing overall.

I'll keep you guys updated when the keto kicks in or any other changes to my T.

Bless you all!

Hi Patrick,

good to hear that your T is being compromised!

Yes, the nb of sounds will be reduced and you are left with some hissing or low ringing that will subside with time.

Still training MMA?

I am still in a quandary as to how to calculate my lean body mass? can someone please help me so I can get a start on with this diet? thanks

You first calculate your body fat. You need to estimate it.

lets say u have 25% body fat.

your weight is 80kg.

80kg x 25/100 = 20kg

80 - 20 = 60 kg . This is your lean body mass.

To start your diet you need to check your daily caloric intake. Lets say 1700 kcal to maintain your weight.

70% of your calories should come from fat.
20% from protein
10% from carbs.

1g of fat = 9kcal
1g of protein = 4kcal
1g of carbs = 4kcal

so you end up with

fat: 1200 kcal ÷ 9 = 125g Fat
Protein: 200kcal ÷4 = 50g Protein
carbs: 100÷4= 25g carbs

Thanks for quick reply @joseph Ghass :)

That sounds positive. I truly hoping for that. And I mostly hear a kind of hissing/preassure cooker noise, and often/sometimes some morse code/metallic rattling on top of that.

No, I don't practice martial arts anymore. My doctor, which is an expert in the T field said I should absolutely not do that for the rest of my life, just to be sure my ears aren't hit again. I follow her advice :)

And thanks for the diet calculation above. Helps a lot!

Looking forward for more updates from you Joseph and everybody else who sees and reads this. We can do this!

Hi guys,

I have been suffering from tinnitus for over 8 months now and I had hearing loss in high frequencies in left ear so I have a high pitched sound that started in left ear to head to right ear.

The first 6 months was hell for me. But after 6 months things started getting better. Tinnitus started fading very slowly and I think I am in the road of full recovery in 2 years thats 16 months to go. Currently I am 32% better dont have any panic or anxiety, very rarely. The sounds are still bothering me of course if I am not busy and at night but I am glad that it is fading away very slowly.

I have a question. Can I use ear pieces to listen to music when I am working or at the gym?

I have no clue how you can quantify that.

Intermittent fasting has done wonders for my t. Took a couple of months to kick in. Went on the 5:2 diet. On two non consecutive days per week, fasted from after dinner the night before to dinner that next day. Have heard other stories of great reductions in t through fasting. Also has many other benefits for health. Michael Mosley did a great documentary on BBC on fasting re overall health. Great, scientific, informative.

I read somewhere that we should take the examples of dogs, who have the instinct to not eat anything, irrespective of the kind of their illness, stomach related or not, until they feel they got over it. We distanced ourselves from our nature too much.

Dogs also eat their own feces instinctively, there's cases where urine and poop could have healing
characteristics, the problem is our immune system is very different from dogs. They have a stronger
resistance to certain bacteria.

To be on topic,i'm not so sure about eating once a day and it triggering a healing mechanism.
I do know that metabolism can become lazy when you do that, you're messing with your pancreas
kidneys and all other sorts of organs when you only eat once a day.I'm not saying eating too much
is better,it has the same effect only up to the point it's going to store all excessive intake.

Eating small amounts of food is not going to mess with your ability to heal, your body ( thus brain)
is very capable of doing multi tasking.

Update.
First and formost, I'm very happy for your recovery Joseph! I honestly don't know if it has to do with the diet or a combination of lifestyle changes or just natural recovery.Or a combination of all those elements. The important thing is that it might actually work and I will try it all.

I'm soon in my first week of keto. I have had one sin so far and that is that I ate some creme brulee yesterday. Otherwise I've been 100% keto. I did have a spike of about 7-8/10 on Friday (2 days ago) and it lasted for about 12 hours. The first more serious spike in two weeks since I started taking Remeron/Mirtazapin. Yesterday and today are medium days and it's been a bit tough to try not to react to it but all I can do is hanging in there.

I visited my parents today and I'm thankful they are very supportive. Of course they don't want me to suffer but they listen and that is the most important thing. Get someone who just listens to your problems and suffering from time to time (not to often so you don't get caught in the act of always thinking and talking about it). It can be good for your soul to ventilate sometimes and get back to life and try to stay busy with everything life has to offer. Don't forget that you still have a whole life of opportunities and T won't make that a problem unless you choose to. It's hard I know but we all got to have faith. It's frustrating as hell but don't give up! There are so many here on this forum who went through hell and it became better. It just takes time.

I will be back with more updates about my T and keto.

This is my current nutrition protocol:

1- Fasting 20h a day, eating between 4pm and 8pm.
2- I ensure to get daily 1g DHA(2 cans sardine), 5g potassium, 50g fibers, 700mg magnesium, 400% B12, vitamin D3 + K2 (1000UI)

Training in the morning fasted.

let's roll!

Thanks for the update patrick. Dont worry about loud spikes, they will fade guaranteed!

The best weapon is to get back to normal life, you just need to adjust for now.

Kee yourself in the fight! It is a 12 rounds/month battle!

my spikes where in the 9 zone, now max 4.
