I apologize if another thread like this exists, but I didn't see one, so...

I'll list my triggers, and if others join in with theirs, it may help some folks realize what can cause their T to be worse.

Disclaimer: I wish there was a solid connection between my triggers and T, but it tenuous, because they don't have an effect every time.

1. Stress. I mean stress caused by things other than T, work stuff etc seems to make it worse.
2. Red wine. Maybe alcohol in general, but again it's not a solid connection. Some days I'll have a glass and my T is fine. Other days, my ears ring like fire alarms and I wonder "I just had a glass of red, was that it?"
3. Constant background noise. This is what caused my T I am sure, but for example, a long flight, or a very long drive, with the associated rumbling or roaring. This is the strongest trigger for me.

And annoyingly, that's all I've got! On those days like yesterday and today, they are ringing like crazy, but I can't see a reason for it. oh well................

For me loud noise. Although I still go for parties with protection. ..................stress at work,........exercise......acidity and gas ......high blood pressure .....salt especially msg ...... Pomegranate juice ......smoking .....small quanties of alcohol ....emotional changes anger depression excitement ......silence .....fatigue. .....so many triggers. No wonder I am in such a bad state. ...

Sameer - only thing is in my opinion if you expose your self to loud noises ,your till will Spike for long time ..days or month ..not sure what others have to say .

For me it is stress (not caused by T) and anxiety (caused by T).
Sometimes it reacts to loud noise, something not (probably depending on my mood).
Food or drink has no effect on my T.

Hi ATVand all,

its interesting you suspect constant background noise ( as opposed to the normal 'sudden loud noise or concert etc.) to have triggered your T. Looking back, last year I spent quite some time complaining about the background noise generated by the aircons at work. They were at a 'tested, acceptable level", but it really got me down after a while. All day, every day, droning machines. Around that time the onset of my T coincided with a 4 hour plane flight too, one of my rare episodes of flying when I didn't use earplugs to dampen the hated cabin noise. Now, ironically, I actually like the aircon and cabin noise- it takes the edge off the t.!!

As for what triggers a spike, I cant identify a single thing except time. The t seems to have its own agenda regaring louder and softer days, and just gets on with it regardless, like I try to do.

Here's to quieter days everyone.

More to support the stress theory- I just spent a week in Jamaica with my wife. Did nothing but sit on the beach and read books. My T was the lowest it's been in a while. I've also had episodes of irregular heartbeat in the last couple months, quite often. This too stopped while I was away, and I know that problem is triggered by stress too.

My t was brought on, and triggered louder by mastubation. Yep , good old what we think is harmless orgasms caused this living hell.
5 months now with it.

Yea..I suspect many would likely do quite well with a permanent vacation in a warm tropical clim. But how to pull that off I do not know. :p
