Can anyone offer or give me something positive please?

I have a static sound in my head for 2 days.

I've been in tears I just want the static to go away.

I can deal with ringing or humming but the static I just can't.

I'm at my breaking point.

I want to go to the ER for MRI or something, my head hurts. Will this calm down?

So sorry to hear of your suffering, Jenn! It will probably calm down, but right now your anxiety is just feeding it. What can you do to calm down (at least somewhat)? I know it's hard, but stress will only make it worse.

@Thissucks..jenn ,
I know how you feel with the sounds you are going through and I have been where you are.
For now you need to totally relax and stay calm and off load stress and go at your own pace so your brain is not on overdrive and get as much sleep as you can .
Keep relaxing music on around you that you like to help anxiety and keep off salt and sugar unless diabetic.
This should help you and also get BP checked and blood test if possible just for a check out.
My head tinnitus went away taking low dose Nortriptyline but have it bad in my ears.
Love glynis

Hello, I have static, hissing, crickets and I learned to concentrate on my body and soul. I believed if my body was easily moving my head would just come along. I have head T. I do small things like puzzles. It took my mind off the different sounds. I had an MRI nothing but gave me a piece of mind. Mine changes I'm ok.

Is it the case that the static had replaced the ringing? Could it be that the static is just what you experience now that the ringing is so quiet you can't hear it? If this is the case, hopefully your T will continue fading and eventually the static will get quieter and then will be gone.

I hope that's the case. I can't hear the ringing, I had just the static.

I'll post more about my case a lil later. It's long story. I also would like to post my hearing tests and OAE tests to get some feedback. Thank you.

i feel your pain man, im also dealing with static noise in my head, its quite intrusive but im finally coping with it, i hope yours get better soon. currently 2 and half weeks in

I have these tests, one hearing test was just the normal hearing test, not the highest frequencies test. I also took 2 highest frequencies tests. My hearing test to 8 kHz was in Nov 2017, the other hearing test was done in Feb 2018, the OAE test up to just 6000 was done last Nov, the newest one last week. My responses back from my questions to my otologist, then one back from my audiologist... thoughts

@Thissucks..jenn you do have dips in your high frequency hearing that can explain your tinnitus symptoms. You can also have hidden hearing loss on top of that in other frequencies.

@annV yes I was thinking that but I have tinnitus in both ears, my otologist dosen't think it's from my hearing as she says all normal range. But I did test for hydrops of inner ear tested positive in left ear for hydrops secondary to inflammation so maybe that's it... who knows however she did give me a 90% chance of recovery from tinnitus, also who knows about that as well.
