Hi Dr Nagler,
I have now got an ear infection and again my doctor has prescribed betnesol-n drops but I have horrendous tinnitus in that ear since developing a blocked ear. I did have t before but it is now unmanageable and I am toiling to be honest.
I am so scared to use the drops as I know that it is ototoxic. My doctor says that my ear drum is not perforated.
Do you suggest any safe medication that I could take instead. I am going to have micro suction too next week.
I'm so very distressed with this..............I seriously dont know how I will cope with this increased level of volume. Can the infection and accompanying rise in t clear up itself if I dont use any antibiotic.

Hi Susanne. I am so sorry that you are going through a rough patch. If your eardrum is not perforated, the drops should be fine.
