New Member — Positive Benzo Withdrawal Stories?

It is a small world and I've never imagined that anything about my story is especially unusual @Star64 - but yes, at the moment I am quite happy with Klonopin. One other thought -- I'm suspicious of the antibiotic; maybe it was just a timing coincidence, but messing with GI function impacts brain transmitters.

That's why I tell people to stay off Benzodiazepines and avoid these like the plague, in an ideal world no medical professional would prescribe those poisons.

In general I strongly agree with the first part of this but also take a pretty strong exception to the second. You're neither a medical profession, nor are you inside my head. Things which are dangerous and have downsides that make them generally undesirable, may have upside in specific situations. I don't endorse anyone else's use of benzos, but when people make sweeping statements that feel like they're being high and mighty about the decisions I've made for my own life -- get off your high horse a couple pegs, you don't know anything about what other people experience.

@Mathieulh thank you for your post, I do hope I will recover....since I had previous noise induced tinnitus I am not expecting it to dissappear, however I am hoping it returns to it's baseline where I habituated to it the majority of the time and enjoyed life... I also warn others about the use of benzodiazepines, the Problem is when you are given these drugs you are not warned of the difficulties these drugs can cause.....so where does that leave the people who are dependent on them now .....withdrawal is horrendous I would not wish this on anybody some people cannot function without these drugs...yes if they had not started life might be different, and that includes myself, hindsight is a beautiful thing...however, I fully understand people's choices if these drugs are giving them a life, enjoying their children, grandchildren, what is the alternative for some people, a life of misery, suicide....how would that impact on families....I have spoken with many people who have reinstated due to these reasons....yes spread the word do not take benzos.....I tell everyone now....but for those that are not getting harmed or having any adverse events already on this drug we need to support their decisions....as @linearb said unless you know what another person is going through inside their heads we should not judge anyone...sometimes these drugs are saving lives.....especially if they have taken a grip on you and won't let go....I am hoping to shake it off.....and believe me I shaking....I appreciate your post though. let's hope I do recover from this .....I have to believe I will heal ,I know this may take some time
