unknown/ear infection/noise
I recently went to a wedding which was 8.5hrs away. I wore plugs for some of the drive when it seemed too loud. I also had a bit of a cold/allergies when during the wedding too.

We got back home and the next morning I woke up to an intermittent beep..beep....beeeep :(

Not to mention another beeping underneath that. My head sounds like when you go into a hospital room and you hear all the machines :(

Just need some words of encouragement. I'm really down right now.

You're still new to T (about the same timeframe as me) so it's probably not evened out yet and probably doesn't have anything to do with your trip. New noises unfortunately are normal at the beginning. I also get the 'hospital room' noise on top of the others. I think it takes a little while for T to even out, then another while to habituate. But you WILL. Good luck and God bless!

Aww !
Do what you can to relax with relaxing music on to help.
I'm sure in a few days you will feel better and ears settle.
Try Sudafed and steam inhalation to clear your tubes and give it time.
Have some nice treats to lift your mood and get out in the fresh air when you can.
Love glynis

I am sorry to hear that you are going through this. I have T since a few years and unfortunately, new noises keep popping. I have the " Hospital room" too.
You are going to be just fine!
God bless you

Thank you everyone.

I opened my doors, turned on a fan, turned on the tv and now watching the news.

Same thing happened to me after a 9 hour flight! I didn't wear ear protection for a few reasons I won't go into (still debating on whether to buy the Bose Quiet Comforts etc. etc.). I had a 3 day spike in my already-bad ear and a new annoying beeping in my good ear. Turns out I and my husband both caught colds and the beeping was basically due to eustachian tube and fluid issues. So don't worry! I am sure your beeping will go away soon. It is a weird sound and very much like machines at a hospital. Don't let it scare you.

Just updating..

I think the new sounds have settled down. My T has also settled down. At this point my ears will do what they want, they always do. I think being on the road for that long may have just stirred some stress up, and possibly agitated my ears a little. Ill remember this next time we go for a long ride.
