Hello everyone I started suffering from tinnitus towards the end of September 2016. Prior to this experience I have never had ringing in the ears that lasted more than a short while (hours) from noise exposure. I am not sure what caused this, although I put together a small list of things that may have caused or contributed to it.
Here is a short list of things that I have hypothesized might have contributed:
Possible past noise exposure (few loud concerts) last was months ago
Anxiety, stress or depression
Reintroduction to exercise
Excessive masturbation, or withdrawals
Possible infection or ear illness
1 dose of Zyprexa during severe panic attack about 6 weeks ago
Cephelexin (some say ototoxic, took 10 days worth 6 months ago)
I had an injured leg that prevented me from walking for years, I am now just getting back to moving around, hopefully that can explain some of the mental and physical symptoms as well as the excessive masturbation. I have not been sleeping well over the last few weeks, and I wonder if that could play a role as well
I went to a general practice doctor and she seemed to think it was a sinus related issue, possibly putting pressure on my ears, I am scheduled to go back again in 2 weeks if things don't clear up.
At this point I don't know what to do or try, and I really hope it resolves itself.
