Newbie having a bad morning

Hi, Terry,
I surely do know what you're going through right now! It is really hard, particularly when the tinnitus is new. I have pulsatile tinnitus, too. Mine is in the right ear. This morning, my tinnitus was pretty calm, and I thought I was going to have a good day. But right now (it's 3:00 P.M. here), the pulsating is doing its relentless thing again.

I'm glad you're going back to the doctor soon. Don't worry; you are going to be all right. There are medicines and/or supplements you can take that will help you feel calmer. Please let us know what you're feeling right now; maybe I, or someone else, can help, or at least ease your mind. We're here to support one another!!

Thanks for the support!!! Glad to know I am not alone.
I am taking magnessium carbonate and injecting vitamin b-12. I am not so worried about being alright as this fear panic and feeling alone..

How long have you been dealing with this, and are you doing better than you did a the start?

Yes, I know what you mean about the fear and panic. When it first started for me, I felt that my life was basically over. I still have bad moments --- for me, the worst time is between 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. --- but I am trying to live my life as normally as possible.

I've been dealing with both pulsatile tinnitus and ringing tinnitus for almost 3 years; it will be three years in May. Yes, I am doing better, much better, than I was at the start. How? Well, I've found some ways to cope with it when it's at its worst. I go for a walk in the late afternoon, because that's when my PT is at its worst. That always helps! And, like you, I take various supplements. I'm taking magnesium chloride tablets (2 about 1 hour before bedtime), vitamin B-12 tablets (3 per day), vitamin D-3 (3 per day), fish oil, systemic enzymes (Wobenzym is an example of this; the purpose of it is to reduce inflammation), moringa oliefera (because it is supposed to have great healing properties), and now I'm using a transdermal cream called AdrenaCalm. My doctor thought this would help me, since I've been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue , along with the PT.

Another thing you can do, and this can be difficult, is to find things you enjoy to distract yourself, so that you get caught up in the activity. I work crossword puzzles, play games, read, etc., to take my mind off the noise. At the beginning, I could not bring myself to read anything, or even listen to music, because I was so depressed. But, believe me, Terry, life really is still worth living! And I have a feeling you're young; you have many more years ahead of you. Stay strong, and find ways to cope. That is really the best medicine!!

So sorry you are in a rough patch right now.

Isn't there a better absorbing magnesium you can take. From what I have researched, magnesium chloride is better. Of course , unless your doc instructs you. I would google it and find out different choices. Carbonate is not easily absorbed.

Are there any meds you can stop taking or reduce as they can be ototoxic?
