Hi everyone, my name is Myra B and I've suffered from tinnitus for well over 13 years.

I can still remember the day it entered my life and thinking it was temporary and I probably just needed to pop my ears. Well, it never left me and I just kind of accepted it and dealt.

I only went to one doctor regarding this issue, who told me it was prob loud concerts that contributed to it/caused it and left it at that.

I have dealt with it pretty well, for the most part, and there are times where I hardly notice it. Although, I do have trouble hearing(tinnitus only in left ear), so I have to tilt my head a lot and have subtitles whenever watching anything.

A couple of days ago, I awoke to a loud blaring noise that persisted the whole day! Not the level I was accustomed to and it threw me for a loop! I've been researching and reaching out to fellow sufferers ever since. It was bad, then subsided to its normal level, and now today it's overwhelming again. Definitely going to start booking doctor appointment again and looking into it.

Anyway, support and advice always help thru hard times. So, I'm glad to meet you all.

Welcome to the forum. It is probably a spike from some triggers. Did you feel quite stressful lately? Stress is only one of many reasons for spikes. Sinus congestion from cold, taking ototoxic drugs, TMJ, ear infection etc. etc., these all can cause a spike. Try not get too anxious about the spike as anxiety and stress can aggravate T. Take care. God bless.
