Hi, I have had T in my right ear since the beginning of this year, right in the middle of mocks. I am 18 and have only been to one nightclub in my life (so hearing problem seems unlikely).
My T was initially very loud and distressing ringing for quite a while. After a few months it had died down to low level ringing and is currently a low buzzing (that sometimes fluctuates to some ringing). Now it only flairs up when I have cried or am not feeling very well. I currently have a sore jaw/gums and a generally mildly painful tightness which is sore to touch, but am otherwise in good health (don't know whether that is significant).

I have seen a GP and had a hearing test. My ear drum looked healthy and my ear testing came back that I had good/above average hearing. I am currently on a referral to an ENT specialist at my hospital, so fingers crossed they can help.

But any help from all of you is greatly appreciated!

Well @Sioned one concert or one too loud tone can damage your ear. This is the interesting thing about it is not about how often you hear loud music ..one time can do damage for life ... . In my humble opinion get all possible treatments that does not kill your budget and are classically accepted, but apart from that .. stay away from scammers and people who do not know what they are doing, there is NO cure for an acoustic trauma except the body decided to heal it self, you can still live an f*** awesome life .. and learn to accept even the loudest noise inside you.

It wouldn't hurt to be seen by a neuromuscular dentist as well, you might have jaw/temporomandibular joint issues. I've been to several concerts in my life, yet after my T onset, my hearing tests came back perfect, even for my age (31). I can still go to a loud bar and easily have a conversation (not something I go out of my way to do though) despite music and several people loudly chatting away. Can you change your T with jaw movements, or pressing against parts of your head/jaw? I can so... I decided to see a neuromuscular dentist, and lo and behold- he told me I have serious bruxism, as in, I grind my teeth unconsciously at night! Though he stopped short of telling me this was causing my T, he told me it wouldn't surprise him if after TMJ therapy my T goes down, even a bit. So maybe an avenue worth looking into.

Dont know if my tinnitus is from probiotics, Seroquel or age- I am trying to eliminate everything to see if it helps. I know I now get intense jaw pain from alcohol at this age- so no alcohol
