Probably noise exposure?
My tinnitus spikes in the middle of the night/morning. I think it reacts to the fan I have running.

I am able to nap on my couch with the higher pitched refrigerator humming in the background.

I've been thinking to use a mobile app + Bluetooth speaker to generate noise. This would also help provide a familiar setup when I travel. I haven't discovered a good noise app I like as many only have white/brown noise/fans/streams. Does anyone know of an app with higher pitched sounds able to match my tinnitus, like my refrigerator?

This is my thought process, perhaps someone on here knows a better alternative all together when I am trying to sleep.

I use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.appyhapps.tinnitusmassage&hl=en

I don't think it really works for lowering tinnitus, but it is great for masking. My tinnitus is high pitched and it completely masks it.

Cheers! I'll look into it.

Have you considered recording your fridge and playing it back in a loop?

HA! Yes, the thought has crossed my mind.

This sounds just like a fan, or any of those apps? These sounds cause my T to spike.
