No Hearing Loss but Tinnitus in One Ear

According to a recent hearing check, I have no hearing loss and normal hearing, but yet I have tinnitus in my left ear for some time now.

I just don't know what to do or where to go next for 'treatment'

I have almost perfect hearing (way above average for my age) and tinnitus in both ears.
What worked for me: a combination of TRT (learning what tinnitus is and using sound enrichment), Julian Cowan Hill's advices and mindfulness. It's all about teaching your brain about the unimportance of the sound (if you taught the brain that it is important, by reaction with anxiety or any other strong emotion). In the long run you will not be bothered anymore (habituation of reaction) and after that you might not even hear it anymore (habituation of perception). Read about TRT.

I think that is a wise thing to do (especially if a large part of your spare time is spend on thinking about tinnitus). But keep in mind that there may be things that can help you find relief, such as sound enrichment (make sure you can still fully hear the tinnitus), meditation, moderate exercise...

Interesting. I'm wondering though if my nerve fibres are damaged and my hair cells are intact (according to wiki nerve fibres are the first to go) that is causing my tinnitus. I wonder if any of these regeneration companies can repair nerve damage and not just the hair cells... or have I got that wrong.

Ok, let's say our nerve fibres are damaged. What can we, at this point, do about it? Nothing, as far as I know. (sorry if my message is a bit harsh )
