Cause of Tinnitus
Not sure
So my left ear was full and started ringing a few weeks ago. Thankfully it went away. Then a few days ago, it came back. Recently, in the morning it's not there. I plug my ears, don't hear any ringing. Than a few hours later it would come back and last until the night when I fall asleep. Hoping it goes away fully soon.

Any idea what this is or what it means? Got me confused. P.S. it's not noise induced

This is tinnitus, but you have been lucky and you have been experiencing it going away.

Do you know what might have caused you to experience ear fullness? Have you been exposed to any loud noises?

It sounds like you hurt your ears, and that you are on the verge of either permanent tinnitus, or tinnitus that would take a year or two to fade and reach the "can hear it only in quiet rooms" stage. Try to protect your ears as much as you can. Make sure that none of the drugs that you are taking are ototoxic

If I were you, I wouldn't attend any loud concerts or even go to movie theaters. I would also stop using headphones (at least for the next year or two) to give my ears a chance to recover. Consider limiting your exposure to moderate noises (e.g., that of a vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, etc.).

Sounds like mild tinnitus that is coming and going. Best to figure out the cause before it gets worse. Noise induced is by far the most common etiology.

I went to the ENT, he said it looked fine. Nerve looked good. No hearing loss.

I am dealing with other health issues in regards to toxicity/exposure I had. It could be from detoxing from that? Idk.

Hard to know w/o further details if an exposure could be the cause of tinnitus, but it possibly could.

Just because you have a normal standard audiogram, which only goes up to 8 kHz frequency does not mean this is not noise induced. Look into hidden hearing loss and extended frequency audiograms.

Like I was telling DigitalDoc, I think it's toxic exposure related. Still going to protect ears during the process. Is there anything else I can do? Also, does the ear clicking/popping pretty much whenever I try to mean anything?

hey man, I think you're a good candidate for curcumin. go get some and eat it with dinner. that's an order.

I've been on curcumin for a while because of some other issue. Gonna up my dose more. Anything else I can do?
No idea.
Especially since this could be inflammation related, trying to think what else would help
I don't think it has to do with inflammation. I think it is because curcumin helps regulate something called BDNF.

It happens when a muscle in your ear begins to spasm for various reasons. Often it slowly fades and is completely gone after about a year. But it can also be permanent.
Is there a way to up the chances if it going away? Besides obviously protecting ears from loud noises
+ curcumin

You will find some ideas about how to reduce the chance of it getting worse at the link below:

Tip #15 on the list above is about the supplements that you might look into.
