Cause of Tinnitus
Burgler Alarm
My left ear has a chipping, pinging kinda noise, it's worse than the ringing, when it chirps I can actually feel it :(

What is that?? Nerve damage??

8 months in after acute acoustic trauma. :(

I know what you mean. It's gotten better for me as time has gone on but I used to have a chirpy sound with an electrical "zap". It still chirps in a totally silent room, head on pillow, but it doesn't really aggravate me the same way it used to. much less intense.

Yea that's pretty much same for me. Is T noise
induced for you??

I think I can sort of relate to what you are describing, in my most affected ear, the one with heavyness/fullness feeling, the unmaskable constant tinnitus tone sort of seems to "cycle" it changes in it's tone on constant, regular basis, but is not linked to heart rate or anything like that. It basically feels like something "dead" or "wounded" is thrashing around in your ear, and no amount of supplements you throw at it will calm it.

Yea for me it's in the left ear, infact all my problems seems to be with the left ear, the right ear most of the time is fine.
It sounds like a smashed up battery / damaged electrical cable. I can actually feel it, I'm thinking it's nerve damage. The hearing in the left ear drops and comes back several times a day too.
Sounds are distorted in the left ear to and music sounds like a broken speaker/rattle effect all in the left ear.

Both ears where exposed too the alarm so I wonder why the left is so much worse. I don't know what I would do if both ears were like this!

I think this is pretty normal as far as noise trauma goes; I get a lot of chirps, and my guitar teacher told me last week that he has "crickets in his ears".

Yea I get the cricket noise, chirping, ringing, clicking. This morning my right ear dropped and was ringing really loud for a good 20 mins before it faded away.
