Day 0: I was making sounds on my new Elektron Digitone Synthesizer, piping the sound to my ears using Aphex Twin recommended Sony MDR-7510 headphones. Loud. Too loud. Made some crazy and awesome sounds... That evening I noticed I had a pretty loud ringing in my left ear. Sure, I've had slight ringing often when coming home from parties/bars etc, and I actually had experienced that the weekend before, but that kind of ringing has always subsided after a few hours.
Day 1-9: Annoyed and worried about the T. I notice I've lost a bit of hearing for some frequencies on the left ear. The googling begins, I read a ton of info about tinnitus and start acquiring supplements to hopefully help fix the damage. Very challenging evenings. It's like the ears gain-microphone-volume control is completely out of whack and puts it to 100% in a quiet room. "My life is ruined, I cannot live like this!! Normal people can't comprehend the torment! Why, oh why?!" I wince in agony even but a part of me inside remains calm. No problem "
I read about Hyperbatic Oxygen Therapy here in Finland and consider contacting them if things don't get better.
I already eat a healthy and balanced diet and have a cupboard full of various supplements and adaptogens (Vitamin C, Q10, K2, zinc, magnesium, fishoil, sea buckthorn, blueberries, pomegranate, chaga, moringa, ashwagandha, maca). Now I get a hold of B-vitamines, A, Folic acid, NAC, Ginko, melatonin and do my best to keep this body satisfied and able to heal the damage as well as possible. A bit of excersize, neck massage with a nice massage device, a bit of fasting, saunas etc.
I try CBD oil and for some, pretty obvious reason I have a high tolerance for it so I also experiment with a similar kind of product which may or may not be illegal where I live and it gives me interesting results. Worth noting that I am a spiritual person and I believe that I'm not only human but a Being inside the human.
I experiment with masking sounds and this is my favorite that I keep on to mask it completely.
At one point when the T sound feels too piercing tormenting and especially somehow traumatising I notice that a T app on my phone which allows me to select the pitch, volume, and type (tone<->noise) helps me learn to cope with the T sound. Not just mask it but hmm something else. With a very low volume and noise setting i go through the frequency spectrum and it feels like a massage of something in my ear, I even get the shivers at some frequencies. Using the tone setting is too strong, like using a sharp tool compared to the noise setting which feels like a kind of brush. A day or two later I try the tone setting and it feels amazing, but I do it very carefully with a low volume and wonder if I'm just imagining things.
Morning 10 The tone has gone up in frequency and down in volume! It's not as disturing anymore. Feels much better. Great day.
Morning 11 Even better. I've slept like a baby and it takes minutes before I even notice the T.
Morning 12 Even better
Today (day 16 or so) I still have this ultra highpitch T going on but it's not a big deal and I have a feeling it's still getting better.
