Hi all! Just a quick question. I've had tinnitus for 3 years but I got the flu 12 days ago and for 10 of those days, when I walk I feel off balance and while sitting I just feel off sometimes too.

It's not vertigo like the room is spinning, but just a little dizziness I guess you can say.

Anyone have any ideas if the flu can affect your middle ears?

I'm getting concerned since it's not going away. Thanks!

there needs to be a channel for vestibular issues, this isn't a proper (other "health talk" issue)

if you have damaged hearing it is also likely one has compromised balance.

Thanks for your input @Contrast, I appreciate it. Yeah maybe the flu just impacted my ears somehow since I do have hearing loss in my left ear. And you're right, there should be a channel for vestibular issues, it seems like a common thing

Flu can affect your middle ear.

I sometimes feel dizzy when I use my netipot for MARCoNS treatment (sinus sinus infection).

There are other causes of dizziness also such as hypertension etc, so if it persists, please see your GP.

I had this. Get your vitamin and mineral levels checked.

Turned i had severely low vitamin D. Started supplementing with vitamin d and the dizzy off balance feeling went away. Tinnitus however remain.

Note: YMMV
