Officially Diagnosed with TMJ

do you think we will ever be healed?

Ugh, I hate TMJ its worse than Tinnitus.

My TMJ doesn't hurt unless I touch it but the tinnitus is always going off.

You have to treat TMJ, you cant leave it, i read that it gets worse over time. My TMJ is just clicking sounds on both sides of jaw, its annoying.

Yeah but at least you can. Not with tinnitus.

You have CBT and TRT therapy with dealing with Tinnitus. You get used to Tinnitus in 6-18 months and then it becomes nothing more than background noise. I dont hear it most of the time and when i do it dosent bother me. I am just scared about TMJ. I dont want one day to have locked jaw or something..

You will habituate.

It's true. Having an avenue to fix tinnitus is a blessing, no matter what it is. That's why I'm mildly happy I have TMJ. Chances are it's related to that and fixing it will help. As fishbone said.

Yeah if you treat TMJ your T will lower.

@threefirefour Stanford Hopital ENT just said I have TMJ last week but also mild high frequency hearing loss. They also have told me many reasons for my tinnitus so unsure about it all. Not sure if it's true about the TMJ but I do grind my teeth pretty bad and worth following up on. How do you treat that to try and reduce or fix tinnitus related to TMJ? Any hope is a blessing at this point. Do I go to a dentist or chiropractor for help with TMJ?
Thanks

What are you waiting for?
Nothing. At ortho right now.

Probably a dentist first. Chances are it will help reduce tinnitus.
