Oh Dear — It’s That ‘H’ Word Again...!

@Ed209 @Jazzer can I ask what your tinnitus handicap inventory score is?

Sure.
The only time I have ever done this test is in an audiologist's waiting room.
I wasn't told the score, or if I was, I've forgotten it.

Just now I scored 62, trying to be as honest as possible.
Looking back on the questions, I don't seem to have much of a problem in concentrating, conversing, socialising, being efficient, etc....
My '4s' were mostly to do with being angry and upset about it.

I will do it again in perhaps a month, for comparison.

nobody wants to be spending money researching

I've been reading up a bit on PTSD among Vets, TFF, and am getting some idea about the massive cost of therapy on that, and the consequent lack of funds for genuine research.

Therapy is a multi-million dollar industry - I know - I funded two lots of psychoanalysis, spreading over several years, myself.
(I'm still nuts, by the way, but you've probably worked that out for yourself.)

As all types of psychotherapy over here, from depression, up to schizophrenia, have to be self funded, or at least family funded, I couldn't appreciate some of your arguments.

I'm getting it now.
Put me down as a slow learner.
(Bozo syndrome.)

Mind you - what a dreadful outlook for the Vets, who've given everything, their health, their sanity, their future, their lives....to be left with no effective treatment.

This little spiel comes as an extended apology, by the way.
