Olanzapine (Zyprexa) Treatment of Tinnitus, Which Is a Symptom of Schizoaffective Disorder?

Today I visited a new psychiatrist and I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder.
The distinction was based on these symptoms:
Head tinnitus (hallucination)
Nightmares and vivid dreams (hallucination)
Insomnia
Anxiety/Depression
Derealization/Depersonalization

I have been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder several times, but some doctors have disproved this disorder because according to them I have only serious anxiety disorder that was mistaken diagnosed as another disease.

My question to those who have a head noise, have you ever tried Olanzapine (Zyprexa) and what was the effect?
Is Olanzapine (Zyprexa) known as ototoxic?

I have found on the Internet just a few posts from people who reported tinnitus onset while Zyprexa. In this forum their is one in old thread who confused if it induced by benzo or Olanzapine.

I did not take it because of a fear that it could cause side effects such as tardive dyskinesia.

Not taking anything special, tried different ap, they all do spike.

I think my T is better now, even had almost zero noise for a very short period in last time.

Could you please send a link or provide some more info on "a lot of people"? I did a search here and, although 50 references came up, I found only 3 or so people whose tinnitus was caused or exacerbated by Olanzapine.

It's frustrating as doctors won't tell you this and the cases here that are reported are very important for people to know.

I know it's an anticholinergic but what might be causing the tinnitus is that it jacks your glucose levels sky high.

I have taken Zyprexa for 1 year. No effect on my tinnitus. I take 20 mg so it's the highest dosage.

I have also taken Zyprexa. No effect on my tinnitus. I currently take Mirtazapine and Trazodone though. Zyprexa caused me to have sleep apnea so I stopped taking it.
