Tinnitus Since
1949
Cause of Tinnitus
baseball strike on right ear
Tinnitus since 1949 when I was hit on my right ear by a baseball. Possibly worsened by small-caliber left-handed rifle shooting during following several years. Sound confined to right side until about 10 years ago when it started migrating (virtually) around back of head to left side. Sound consists of 3-4 identifiable high pitch frequencies, and at least one lower pitch, probably a beat frequency. Partially exacerbated by presbycusis. (age 78) Left side not too bad. Still can hear the flutes in that ear.
