Wanted to start a new thread for new technologies on the horizon. It's interesting to see new concepts in the pipeline and how they will change our lives.

LASER GUNS!!!

I have dreamt of them becoming a reality since I was just 10 years old, and that desire to see them become real has only grown since the onset and progression of my tinnitus; because there are now so few effective forms of weapon I can wield that aren't a double-edged sword (<<< funny weapon pun).

But seriously, guns that require no ammunition, only energy (charging/batteries), and would be capable of making practically no noise!

Well, dream no more, O my brothers, because these weapons of mass distinction are on their way ▼
