I'm trying a stretching routine I found somewhere on here for somatic tinnitus. One of the stretches very oddly makes my ear go a bit numb, and it hurts while stretching. I put the link below. It should stretch the anterior scaling muscles. It feels really tight and it kind of gives a needles feeling in the ear on that side as well. The numbness seems to wear off in a day or so, but I'm doing the routine a few times per day, so my ears are still a little numb. One side is much worse than the other. This also happens to be the side with the worse tinnitus for me, but since it's 50/50, it might just be coincidence.
Could this be doing any harm? Or is this just a side effect of stretching a very tight muscle.
Timestamp is 7:40 for the stretch.
