Good evening. I had a really unfortunate incident with a firearm right before Christmas. I have been a total basket case since this happened and am not doing well at all.
Has anyone whom had an acoustic trauma from gunfire had the pain, loud humming and totally blocked up ear/ears?
I went to an urgent care last Friday being the humming was so loud I couldn't hear my son speak at all. She gave me a course of oral prednisone and amoxicillin. I then proceeded to have drainage and was hacking up stuff all weekend. I have no sinus infection and I'm not sick.
Anyone else have symptoms like this?
The worst is when I swallow my ear pops and it feel semi painful. It feels much better now about 80% of the pressure is gone. I also can pop my ears but the right side feels blocked almost immediately afterwards. Left side is normal.
