Pain in Ear and Neck Followed by Fleeting Tinnitus and a Day Long Spike

For the last 2 evenings around 6pm I've had building pain in one ear, followed by fleeting tinnitus and a tinnitus spike that lasts until the following day. Weird as hell, and something I've never experienced before.

Anyone ever get anything similar?

P.S. I've had no noise exposure or anything different at all lifestyle wise.
