Hey all, has anyone here ever notices spikes from peanuts? I am starting to suspect i have some pretty serious, multi day, spikes from peanuts.

At the moment, I can only eat peanuts in the form of peanut butter, which has no effect on my T.

Is it only peanuts or also other kind of nuts? Could it be like a nut allergy of some sort?

I have read, peanuts are on the list of foods you're not supposed to eat with T. Also, peanut butter is usually loaded with sodium and sugar.

To bad, I love peanuts!

@Sound Wave I would agree with you if it happened once or twice. But ive noticed this now about 5-10 times. Usually it spikes within an hour. I hadnt heard of other people with peanut spikes. Of course, it could be a psychological thing anyways, that im expecting a spike so it happens. Who knows. That could be the case for all food spikes really.

Only if the peanuts fall into your shoes and you have to stand or walk a long way. Sometimes pain from sore feet can cause a spike in T....that and stale pizza.

I noticed cashews spike my T. Very strongly, and very clearly. I used to be allergic to them when I was a kid and recently started drinking almond/cashew milk (no hives or anything, so thought I was fine). After 10-15 times I realized there was a very clear 1 to 1 relationship between that and my T spiking.

It also happens when I drink certain types of beer (which also cause me GI issues). Unfortunately I have no idea which ingredient or which beers. In general though I'm realizing now there's a very clear link to my allergies and my T.
