If you tell people you are suffering and such, you will scare them off. Nobody wants to hear that shit. Most tire of the constant complaining, bellyaching, and crying. That includes family members.

Uniformed people come in all ages. But we must realize we have a rare form of tinnitus, not known to the masses. I also think most of the 10 percenters had other issues before they contracted T. That is why we suffer as we do. We must work on these problems, as well as tinnitus.

Not really, the people to whom I talked about my condition were usually curious to know more about what it is. You don't have to say it crying or trying to inspire pity.

I refrain from people to say that I have tinnitus, because it's embarrassing and they react strangely.

Not at all. Remember in life YOU come first and others come second. The only time, someone else would come before me, would be my children. You are afflicted with a struggle that grips you every second you live, people don't matter. YOU matter and YOUR life/peace of mind matters.

If people can't accept/understand what you are going through, then those people are worthy to be in your life!

I'm not ashamed, when people ask why i'm wearing ear plugs I try and explain, most of the time this falls on deaf ears (pun intended) but if one out of the hundred people I explain too grabs some ear plugs for the next club night they go to, who knows, maybe we won't see them on this forum any time soon.
