I'm interested to know how many members of the forum have had T all of their lives like I have or have had it for many decades.

Please reply to this thread if you've had T all of your life. I would be interested in sharing T experiences with others who have had T "forever".

Thanks.

Chris

I've had it permanently for about three years. However, I think that I've always had a tendency to get it for some periods of my life, before it got permanent. I remember that my first hearing test showed reduced hearing, because it took relatively long time for me to figure out that it was the ringing sounds I was supposed to answer to, because I was so used to hear these similar sounds in my head, so yeah. Needless to say that they had to test me again and the second time my hearing test was just fine :p
I must have been quite young at the time, because it was one of those tests which is made in primary school to make sure that kids don't run around with undiscovered health problems. Or at least that is how we do it in Denmark.

I don't remember a time when I didn't have it. Maybe I didn't have it when I was a little kid but don't remember much from that long ago. It's gotten worse over the years but often I don't notice it. It's been a background noise for so much of my life that I don't often notice it.

It gets worse in the evening, though not sure why. I suspect that my blood pressure medication might have something to do with it. Valsartan HCT.

Similar to @tami seastrand and @ScottK , I also have had this my entire life and have never experienced silence. Mime was tolerable until a few years ago when it suddenly got much louder, and a few weeks ago it became even louder.

The earliest that I can remember thinking "maybe this isn't normal" was about 30 years ago. I'm 52 now. Maybe I have always had it, maybe it has only been 30 years. I don't know. It certainly became annoying 30 years ago. No idea what caused/causes it.
