So I was popping my ears as normal, as I do every few minutes EVERY DAY... The popping doesnt bother me but whatever, back to the point...

I just popped my left ear and now it feels tight, and pressurized... kind of like the feeling you get when theres a SUPER loud sound and your ear goes numb for a few seconds and goes back... except its been 5 minutes now...

im creeped out, the T is different

Yeah, sounds like ETD to me.

You want to be really, really careful about constantly popping your ears. Can mess things up, as per what is happening now. Your eustachian tubes are designed to function on their own, except in extreme situations like airplane descents, where they might need a little help equalizing the pressure.

Hey @Karam, ask your doctor about it. I certainly am no medical professional. But I was told by my ENT that forcing your ears open all the time could lead to problems with your ear drum and middle ear. Also, if you are doing it all the time because you feel like there is fluid in there? That could indicate a larger problem, like an infection. You shouldn't be having to constantly force open your ears.

I just did it and my ringing got to a 8 out of 10 after being very minor Be very careful with it. Hopefully my spike will go down in a few days.

the thing is ive gone to and ENT for ETD before, but that time the pressure felt normal, this pressure is 10x more annoying and weird, it like moves around in my eat, and makes my ear feel like it has hearing loss when it doesnt

@LadyDi

What did the medical professionals tell you about ear popping, specifically? I am still doing it nearly daily, because otherwise my ears will explode whenever I swallow. My eardrum is completely fine, but something is clearly wrong with my inner ear and eustachian tubes.
What kind of damage does ear popping do to the middle or inner ear?
