I just came across this article and thought I would share it with you all. It talks about what happens when we think negatively and positively about things and how that can change our brain chemistry and cells. I figured it would be good motivation for me to try to think more positive.

By the way, I want to add that when I'm depressed, my brain chemistry is not good so it will be an uphill battle starting out.

Awesome thanks--yes I am massively depressed myself

Good morning Jason, Sage here...

One of my favorite uplifting sayings is:

"How we think, is how we are." ... our thoughts manifest our reality... literally !

When we put out bad vibes, that is what we get in return, it is called the Law of Attraction...we are the master of our own thoughts, as we think, so we shall be...

Thank you for posting this and have a great day.

to your good health,

the Sage

Your threads are always inundated by trolls :dunno:
the handful of people who reliably shit on any positivity are a great use of the "ignore" button

people who have not found a way to live something resembling a normal life with this condition, sometimes resent those who have. This is normal, but something you don't need to expose yourself too if it's distressing.

I, for one, am sick as fuck of people who have had this for 1-5 years telling me anything about what I should be doing, because I've been living with this insane 14khz nonsense for a long time, I like my life in spite of that, and I've got low tolerance for know-it-all assholes who are basically babies as far as how long they have dealt with this, and also generally have a bad understanding of how science works. Some of these people have extremely strange and unscientific ideas that they love to evangelize.

So, basically, if you just put the small handful of people you deem "trolls" on ignore, your forum experience will be better. We have a couple genuine sociopaths here just constantly disseminating scary, incorrect, unscientific ideas.

I agree, I think I should start ignoring people too. I generally don't because I actually like to hear differing opinions and perhaps learn something from them...but these days most people generally affirm my suspicions rather than dispel them so i guess that whole good intentions thing is shot

Once one realises the poster is a sadistic troll I ignore them. I have intrusive tinnitus and several relapses. Which I am in one now. The relapses are hell but when I habituate life is okay. I am 70 1/2 years old it does get tiresome. It is a fight. G-D bless all.

Keep fighting the good fight sir! Kudos to you on your mentality :)

when you ignore them, you take away their power... ignore, ignore... :p

Tinnitus is caused by noise induced damage. We will have positive thoughts if we don't have this.

You can't "think" tinnitus away.
