Post Your Favorite Songs

I tried to choose a good song to introduce one to Leningrad, but I realized that they are full of slang and the best part of these songs are the countless subtle details that people here are unlikely to appreciate. In any case, the clip below is a good illustration of "things in our country are not the way they are supposed to be" which these days is relevant for both Russia and the West

Here the singer enunciates well, and it is a pretty cool song. Having said this, this is not one of Leningrad's clips that people say are better than most movies that they had ever seen

This one is a fun one

This clip is Russia's answer to Quentin Tarantino

This clip is seething with with hatred for life in Russia outside of the major cities (the song itself begins at 3:30)

and I had already posted the fun clip below earlier in this thread

Followed by my second, I don't really enjoy music that is too much mainstream most of time, there is so much hidden gems!

My last is a great headbanger (after that I sometimes wonder why I have tinnitus...) Was not helping to listen to these at an unreasonable volume

I also enjoy other kind of music like rap and electronics but from a very limited range of artist

(Mantis was actual the best concert I never attended, wait for the drop you will be amaze)

This is still the best russian song.

There are no pop, rock, rap, disco, hip hop, new age, breakbeat, dubstep, industrial, techno, trance, etc. songs that Don't sound like That to me. Seriously - this song and all of the songs that make up those genres introduced after 1960, make me feel the exact same way for the exact same reason - they sound ridiculous (to me). Annoying pathetic noise (almost as bad as T ;) ).

Okay, I'm dating myself here. This may not be my favorite-favorite song, but it's the first one that popped in my head. Because, you know, what a long strange trip it's been.

AS if it matters now that I have hearing distortion in my right ear the meaning is gone and my dreams are killed and my life is now a hell on earth indefinitely. :(

I love so much music.... However Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries has been playing through my mind a lot these days, God rest her soul, I will miss her:

Oh my life is changing every day
In every possible way
And oh my dreams
Is never quite as it seems
Never quite as it seems

(Dreams)

Other likes: Leonard Cohen (Sound of Silence), Tragically Hip, and I dare to admit...some ABBA!
