To my friend @Damocles.

Our musical tastes are so different, but I wanted you to know that I always give your posts a listen. I take the time because I respect you.

I read in one of your posts about you working on a portfolio back in the day. I wonder if you are still making art?

I know you suffer, as do I, and I am wishing you better days, less pain, and joy.

Here is some more soul music to get your groove on.

Sincerely,
Daniel

Fela Kuti - Water no get enemy
I was looking through the songs people post here and wasn't expecting to somebody also know the great Fela Kuti! Man, this guy was such a larger than life person. It's been quite a while since I've listened to his music, back then I really liked Zombie and V.I.P.

I have many songs that I like to listen to, so to choose one:

The beat to me is the essence of life's sweetness. Real, real wonderful...

1979 this song seemed to hog the airwaves. Loved it then. Caught up with it on youtube recently. There is an interesting story behind it. The Knack one hit wonders but what a hit.

Easy like Sunday Morning - A classic with an unforgettable guitar solo:

Let's get it on! A great singer who left us to fast. RIP Marvin:

Loved this song when I was a teenager:

More contemporary Afro Pop from Nigeria - slow jam:

I've been fooling around with lo-fi house music again after a long hiatus. It's easy on the ears.

Winona Ryder is sooooo my type.
