I used to have quite a few Sonic Youth albums. I really wanted to like them, but deep down i didn't. Their music did little for me.

I liked songs here and there off a lot of their albums up until Washing Machine. I enjoyed Bad Moon Rising and Sister the most.

Alright, symphonic metal for all who want it. Some of you people might remember back in early 00's that bands like Within Temptation and Evanescence dominated the rock charts. The popularity of these bands reached beyond their traditional emo audience by combining rock music, symphonic elements like a background choir and slick goth aesthetics.
