Hi all. I have been taking Pantoprazole Sodium for many years with no tinnitus. Now for a few months I have been getting tinnitus from it.
Does anyone know if Pantoprazole Magnesium doesn't have tinnitus as such a side effect perhaps? I know salt / sodium in general is not good for us, but am wondering why for almost 2 years I never got tinnitus as a side effect from the Pantoprazole Sodium.
I am having GERD surgery in August to stop it for once and for all, so I won't be on the meds anymore.
I have been taking Pantoprazole Sodium twice daily 40 mg for 2.5 years, and once daily for a few months now, and as soon as I take it, 2-3 hours later, my tinnitus starts up and it goes away the next day. So my question is, does anyone have experience with Pantoprazole Magnesium instead of the Pantoprazole Sodium, or other PPI meds that do not aggravate tinnitus?
Thank you so much.
