I took one 50 mg dose of Prednisone (it was all I could get prescribed) because I thought it might help a recent increase and I didn't experience any noticeable side effects for the first hours but I'm getting sudden slight pains in my eye that last a few seconds and go away. My eyes also feel a bit achy.

I've read Prednisone can cause glaucoma/blindness. And eye pain is listed under one of the "serious" side effects. My anxiety is already really high so I probably sound like I'm panicking but I could I have permanently damaged my eyes from just one dose? I probably sound like I'm overreacting but I'm already going through so much and I'm just really worried. Anyone else have this experience?

I very much doubt that you will have caused any permanent eye damage from a single dose of prednisone, but prednisone is not usually used for tinnitus spikes.

It is exceptional for glaucoma to cause eye pain, hence being called 'the silent sight stealer'. If steroids are used in heavy doses for a period of time they can acutely raise intra-ocular pressure and cause glaucoma.

If you have never had your eye pressures measured/are worried about the eye pressures an optician can do it for you (puff of air blown onto the cornea of the eye).

Having been a glaucoma sufferer for 25 years a (and tinnitus for 3 years), even I took steroids when I had a severe allergic reaction. Don't beat yourself up about it.

So, my opinion would be....very unlikely for a single dose of steroids to have caused any permanent damage or be the cause of the eye pain. Get the eye pressures checked as a reassurance and seek advice on the cause of your eye pain if it recurs or persists.
