Hello,
I will have my teeth cleaned soon (for tartar removal). My dentist told me that guided biofilm therapy (which has an airflow part) is less loud and has less sharp sound than ultrasonic scaling. But afterwards I realized they also have something called PROPHYflex which emits calcium carbonate powder (some places call it airflow as well, or sand or salt blasting I guess) but he didn't say anything about that.
Does anyone know anything about these methods in terms of loudness and tinnitus? I know ultrasonic scaling can cause tinnitus and I will surely avoid that.
