I wonder if a quiet ab muscle toner massage belt strapped to my head on pulse setting would give relief.

Hi, Nonna,

That's an interesting thought! If you try it, please let me know if it works for you.

The things that seem to help me the most are exercise, which helps keep my blood pressure at its best, magnesium, and NAC (N-acetylcistene).

How long have you had PT, and do you also have regular tinnitus along with it? Have you had any tests to try to determine a cause?

Best wishes,
Karen

When PT shuts off, dog whistle T steps in immediately. 3mos now, lately it has been on dog whistle T all the time. A fan blowing near my ear sets off pt. So I have been sleeping with no air on.

Hmm! Maybe the fluid in your ear has something to do with your intermittent PT. My pulsating and ringing are both constant. Since you know yours is caused by fluid in the ear, has your doctor been able to prescribe anything for you? Or do you just have to wait for the fluid to drain by itself?

Waiting for it to drain so far. Seeing an ENT this week. Today I have ring and very low pt in same ear. My Dr knew nothing of what to do. And of course I was listening to headphones when the screaming started, tv, not loud.

Hi, again, Nonna,

I've heard that it may take quite awhile for middle ear fluid to drain, and I hope that will resolve your pulsating. However, if it doesn't, my suggestion would then be to seek out another doctor who is a specialist, such as a neurotologist or neurologist. They know a great deal more about pulsatile tinnitus, and may then suggest some tests to determine a possible cause.

Good luck, and please keep me posted on how you're progressing with the fluid drainage.

Best wishes,
Karen

Not accurate. My GP prescribed me all sorts of stuff to cure my congestion, and allergies.
The first thing I did was google tinnitus. I thought I had cochlea damage. :cyclops:
My GP tried to help me.
The only prolem was lack of communication. I didn't know snot could go in your ear. :notworthy:

I also have PT and have fluid in my ear. There is a group on Facebook called Whooshers. Check it out. I have a hard time getting in to this site.....but, the closed group is easy with Facebook. You will find out a lot but not many of us have fluid in the inner ear. Pat
