So about a month ago I had a cold which eventually backed up into my sinuses. On about the 4th night of being sick I had a progressively more stuffy feeling in my ear which turned into bad pain in my right ear which got worse and worse until it instantly stopped and fluid came out. This fluid was clear and had a little blood. I went to my ENT and he said that I had a small perforation but it was healing great, which explained the pain and settling ect. I woke up the next morning and my right ear was ringing. This ringing was very very loud until they put me on Prednisone and it began to subside. It was really quiet and wasn't bothering me as much until I finished the course. I finished the antibiotics and prednisone and within days my stuffiness in my sinuses and ringing came back. It began also ringing in my left ear, and when the ENT looked in my ear again he said that my right ear drum was still red and swollen, and the left one was also slightly swollen. Today I finished a 2nd course of prednisone they put me on but my ears still feel full, still ring (not as loudly thankfully) and click when I swallow. I guess what I'm asking is, is it possible for pressure and fluid on ear drum swelling it what is causing the Tinnitus? And should it completely go away once the fluid and pressure does?
