So, I guess I have acquired this. It seems to be in response to white noise that matches some of the tinnitus pitches. Are there any theories on how this develops? Am I doomed to have tinnitus forever b/c of it? Will it stop being reactive at some point?

Oh, and for extra points if someone could tell me how my deaf ear can have this that would be great. To make this even more confusing, my deaf ear will react and my hearing ear will not if the sound is closer to my deaf ear. This ear has never known a moment of sound in my life. It has also never had T until now.

I have the same reactive T it reacts to certain high freqencies. No sure about the theories other than neurons go hyperactive and lose inhibition...not sure why

Does reactive tinnitus usually stop at some point and just go back to being regular T? Is the t more likely to be permanent once it becomes reactive?
