I haven't posted in awhile since I first joined because I was feeling comfortable with tinnitus and got over some early hyperacusis. I've only had tinnitus for a month. I was exposing myself to ordinary sounds and just telling myself this could be temporary or permanent but just live your life.

Well for Christmas I decided to wear ear plugs and go to church and thought I did ok. I also was with my family and toward end of night I used plugs. Last night I slept and woke up with a bit more hiss and slightly higher pitch but nothing out of ordinary. Figured I'd sleep more tonight.

But just now I noticed that when I'm in a quiet area if I make a noise, I notice the T on my left side seems to pick up its tone. I don't notice it watching TV. But I did notice it while on the walk with the dog when it was quiet and small noises were more audible.

Anyway, just looking to see if anyone has experienced this and if this is something that could subside in time. I'm feeling a bit down over it, but reading many experiences here, I know it's early and my journey is just beginning. Many things can happen including it possibly going away or changing over the years. I'm ruling out church for awhile. Gonna try to let my ears heal and avoid too much unnecessary loud exposure.
Thanks for listening.

Ah man, sorry about that. Especially on Christmas. I'm not sure exactly what to tell you, but I do know that wearing ear plugs can make T seem louder, and it can last for some time after the ear plugs are taken off so it could possibly be that. Some noises seem to make my T pick up, but besides that I don't know enough much about reactive T to say what is happening with you.

Merry Christmas, and I hope u figure out what's up with whatever's going on.

Best of wishes!

Thanks Joel.
I think it was temporary H and I freaked out about it. Seemed to go away after a few hours and sleeping well. Appreciate your support.
I've just got to be vigilant about certain things over the next few months.
