This paper talks about Receptor targeted treatment (RTT) on GABA for long term treatment for Subjective idiopathic tinnitus (SIT), central type. I am not sure what "central type-tinnitus" is but I figured I would post the link. The results are listed on page 167. Maybe you guys can educate me.

Seems like lots of buzz words and intellectual masturbation, only to conclude that benzos might be useful?
Yeah! Benzo (and maybe anything that will increase GABA) will help Tinnitus. But it is just not viable. In time it will give you other problems. Its like the devils drug!!

that's what I keep telling myself and so far it's kept me from taking benzos for this except for very, very occasionally -- and it is sort of magical to be able to pop one and feel basically normal for 24-48 hours...
