The Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) will hold its annual meeting February 20-24, 2016 in San Diego, California. The attached PDF document contains all the abstracts for the conference. While it is rather overwhelming - nearly 700 pages - you can do word searches to find abstracts on different topics.

I am interested to find out what is published after this meeting. Does it happen that scientist and companies (I see that someone from Genvec is participating) wait to publish news at a meeting like this? Could it be that news will be published after it has been a première at this meeting? Same time last year I was not interested because my hearing was not yet an issue.:sleep:

My understanding is that as a rule they do not publish papers following the conference. Some of the presentations are new and the authors may plan to publish after announcing results at ARO. Other sessions are presenting work that may already have been published. The main purpose of ARO is to get the medical researchers together at the same place at the same time so they can discuss and ask each other questions, which hopefully leads to new ideas on how to build on the work that each one has done and thereby accelerate the pace of research toward ultimately finding cures.
 
ARO ist twice a year, it's great for exchange between researchers.
It's not an event with announcements, it's more to discuss stuff.
For Genvec, I guess they submitted their papers before the pause of the trial, maybe the researchers there can ask critical questions.
