I find myself at my wit's end as I contemplate selling my car due to the impact of road noise (it has only 3,500 miles on it). After spending time on some particularly rough highways with high noise levels, I am unsure what to do. All cars seem to affect me to some degree, but mine seems more susceptible than most.
I have test-driven other cars, and road noise seems inevitable regardless of the vehicle. It may just be a matter of how much noise each one produces. I took my car out for a one-hour drive on Saturday, and during the last leg, at the furthest point from home, the road noise reached its peak. On the way back, I noticed a significant increase in noise in my ears, which lasted for over 24 hours. The noise finally started to calm down on Monday, but Saturday afternoon, evening, and all of Sunday were very difficult.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JRS
