i'm so sorry for being this negative but today it's just not going well.

All my weeks are so packed with stuff and everywhere loud music is playing, I always put my earplugs in but it doesn't help. My ears beep louder than the day before and this is already going on for 3 weeks. I have so much meetings and schoolwork and i'm eating more unhealthy.

I was always positive because i have dealt with it before but then i was younger and i could let my ears rest for a few weeks. Now i have more responsibilities and it's hard.

I'm so sorry for this post
I just had to write it down.
I know it will be better soon if i just can let my ears rest.

might have to start using good earmuffs instead of or in addition to earplugs if you aren't finding earplugs enough. i agree these are sad days.

Your biggest responsibility is to look after yourself. Are you a school teacher? You may need to take a step back for the sake of your sanity if you're not coping well. If you're a teacher then I'd definitely have words with your headmaster/mistress.

I'm unsure where the loud music comes into this, but there is always a way round a problem. Take a deep breath and slow your thoughts, because it's easy to let anxiety take over. Go through what you can do to make your coming days/weeks easier on yourself. We are all human and we all get overwhelmed from time to time. It's not a nice feeling to be where you are now; I feel like an expert on feeling like shit, but I know you can turn this around.

Nothing wrong in being negative @Herlinde, as it's part of the tinnitus journey that many of us have been on. You will get through this and come out a stronger person. You are in the early stages of tinnitus and it can feel like you're on an emotional roller coaster. A few days up and one can feel like they've turned a corner only to be brought down again with disappointment when the tinnitus is problematic. It will pass and you'll get better. I advise you not to use earplugs too often. Over protecting the ears can make the auditory system hypersensitive to sound. Earplugs should only be used in noisy surroundings even then I advise caution. Please click on the link below and read my post on hyperacusis.

Hope you start to feel better soon

I have these custom made ones, i think i'm just more sensitive when my ears are still recovering.
It will be alright, its just hard sometimes, mostly towards the evening i find

Hi, no i'm not a teacher (hihi i can't really explain myself decently in English)
I'm a student, "easter" break (like spring break but in Belgium) is around the corner and school is just very demanding, i take everything seriously so the stress levels are raising.
I know i have to take care. Tomorrow i have my first exam and then in a week another one. But tomorrow i will sleep good.
For me loud music is going to the store where music is playing, having group conversations,.. i'm super sensitive

All these things are in your control @Herlinde. Either use earplugs at the store, or just avoid it for a while if you're still worried. Stress in short bursts is ok, but don't overwhelm yourself. Remember it's just an exam, and on the grand scale of things it's not worth making yourself ill over.

Try and give yourself more 'you' time where you can do whatever the hell 'you' want. Preferably things that chill you right out and take all this weight off you. Life is a marathon and not a sprint, so don't burn yourself out.

Take care of yourself.

All of us have bad days, you are human :)

Don't get too down on yourself, do remember that tomorrow is another day and it does get better :)

@Herlinde ,
Get a letter off your doctor to show your tutour etc as you then should get extra support and time for exams etc and even one to one exam if helps .....
Do some medatation before exam time to help you and be kind to your self and some nice treat in place or some nice plans to look forward too....

Thank you so much. My exam is at 10 so i have plenty of time left to rehearse and i will do some meditation before i leave. Thank you for your help.

Good luck with your exams. We're all allowed to have bad days. It's the nature of this curse. BUT you do have to allow yourself to bounce back and realize that you are in control of your life and not T controlling you. Easier said than done especially during the bad days...
