Hey everyone,

I have a question, I am trying out this new Diet ''How Not To Die''

This Diet includes a lot of vegetables and spices and all of them are high in Salicylates.

I have had tinnitus now for 4 years and I noticed that if I do not eat certain foods my tinnitus becomes so low that it does not bother me at all.

I have tested and tested it again and I am almost certain that it comes down to Salicylates in food.ä

I want to eat healthy and I don't mind if my tinnitus does spike here and there, I just need to know if Salicylates can cause a permanent increase in tinnitus or will it just be a spike here and there.

Someone told me the tinnitus is like an alarm, when you eat something or do something that is not good for you, it spikes.

What are your thoughts on this?

Cheers,
Chris

Hi @Christian82,

It looks like you're pretty certain salicylates aggravate your tinnitus. I would listen to what your body is telling you. You're very fortunate to have narrowed this down and made this discovery for yourself! -- You might want to check out this article, which mentions salicylates...
