So I found this article on Vice. I do not know if it has any merit to it, but I still wanted to post it for people to be able to read it.
https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/ae357g/does-a-cure-for-tinnitus-already-exist
Does anyone have a link to the actual research paper they are mentioning in the article?
Did you get it from the place that rents it?I tried this early on. Used it for a couple of months. Very hard to keep clipped to your ear. Zero effect on tinnitus but I do think it helped me sleep better as it seemed to have a slight calming effect. In hindsight I suspect that was placebo though.
you're wrong, this is obviously the cure we've been waiting four.SaluSTIM isn't implantable.
It seems the device's website is under construction right now, but here's the Finnish site (try translating with Google Translate):

As this device is useless for tinnitus they try to sell it as remedy for other afflictions to earn some money. They seem to have revamped the web page:
https://www.parasym.co/science.html
Unfortunately the research section is empty.
They now sell the Parasym for other applications besides tinnitus.
Is it totally hopeless? I recall a couple of people who seem to have benefited. The vast majority here had no benefit though. It's 120 GBP for three months so maybe worth a shot anyway? As this device is useless for tinnitus they try to sell it as remedy for other afflictions to earn some money.
I did try it. No impact on my tinnitus, neither positive nor negative. I know at least 3 people who tried it with no success. Is it totally hopeless? I agree. However given the low renting cost it might be worth a shot to see if one is among the very few who could benefit from the approach. Three months is about 120£, whereas Lenire has to be bought at 2500 EUR plus travel expenses etc. Clearly Lenire has much stronger chances to work.I did try it. I think it's much better to try Lenire.
1. Standard therapy for everyone1. Did they provide you with a personalized sound therapy based on your audiogram and tinnitus, or was it a standard sound therapy for everyone?
2. Also, did they provide a device to play the sound therapy or did you have to use your own, and they only gave you a music file to play/CD?
