Satureja Montana Subsp. Macedonica to Relieve Tinnitus and Improve Hearing?

Forgotten tinnitus remedy uncovered during ethnobotanical study of medicinal plants used in Central Macedonia, Greece.

There are no scientific studies confirming the validity of this claim. There is no modern medical proof Satureja montana subsp. macedonica (see also: winter savory) can cure tinnitus or restore hearing.

It is not even clear how this "flower infusion" is meant to be used, ingested, or applied, in this context….

But despite all that, the fact remains that this supposed remedy was "successful" enough to be passed down, culturally, for generations… So perhaps this ancient tinnitus and hearing loss potential-treatment will be studied further, by scientists, and maybe even lead to new drug candidates and human clinical trials.

I just boil it in water and throw it in loose leaf.

I boil a few tablespoons worth in a pot of 4 or 5 cups of water. I let it simmer for a long time.
