My saying to start ball rolling
It's not having everything go right,it's facing whatever goes wrong
It's not being without fear,it's having the determination,to go on in spite of it

I carry several in my handbag.

It takes a strong person to deal with tough times and difficult choices.
But you are a strong person.
It takes courage
But you possess the inner courage to see you through.
It takes being an active participant in your life
But you are in the driver's seat, and you can determine the direction
you want tomorrow to go in.

I love reading positive quotes and I like the idea of having them in your handbag to read - my boss has quotes in a booklet about team motivation and he often reads them to remind himself about such methods etc he is an amazing boss!

I recently saw this positive quote and I find it inspiring as we often take the greatest of pleasure when we help others we inturn help ourselves

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah (which means to consider this)

"Life is not a rehearsal." I'm not sure who said it. I often think of this saying too: I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet." I've seen this attributed to Helen Keller, Wally Lamb and as a Russian Proverb.

Accept what is. Let go what was. Trust God what will be.

"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." John F. Kennedy

I was but a child when I first heard these words spoken, yet it has been something that I have tried to live by all my life.

"God will make perfect, all that concerns me".

Said to me by my Audiologist. I find myself saying this, when my T is off the hook!

When I first started working for a utility an old lineman taught this to me..."the three rules of linework...righty-tighty, lefty-loosy; what goes up may come down; Don't touch that, I don't know what it is but it WILL kill you!"

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

Hearing someone always speaking as though they must share the "honest truth," which is normally not kind, I'm reminded of the above. I too will put a bit more negativity into my speech, which needs to be toned by the good in life, not the hardness.
