Scam?: Reverse My Tinnitus

Since the nature of the cause of tinnitus is irreversible.. All of the promises in the world are not going to make it go away.. Its a matter of adjusting to it. Most of the time I'm unaware of the sound, until conversations or issues that bring it to my direct attention. Like now.. but as the night grows older, I will too and the sound will fade.. After all it can be much worse, my sister's sound roars constantly in her left ear, where as she awoke one morning and found she had complete lost all hearing from some strange virus in her right ear. Both of us developed the tinnitus in our early 60's.

I would suggest that if anyone wants to try something new.. here's the best methods to use.. http://www.nih.gov/news/health/mar2014/nidcd-06.htm Many medical hospitals do trials, and this was issued last march, now if they find a resolve then we can all save our 39.00 scam monies to use for doctors office calls..

If your not aware of what your dealing with.. Here's a clip from the mayo clinic..

"A number of health conditions can cause or worsen tinnitus. In many cases, an exact cause is never found.

A common cause of tinnitus is inner ear cell damage. Tiny, delicate hairs in your inner ear move in relation to the pressure of sound waves. This triggers ear cells to release an electrical signal through a nerve from your ear (auditory nerve) to your brain. Your brain interprets these signals as sound. If the hairs inside your inner ear are bent or broken, they can "leak" random electrical impulses to your brain, causing tinnitus.

Other causes of tinnitus include other ear problems, chronic health conditions, and injuries or conditions that affect the nerves in your ear or the hearing center in your brain."

So, all the promises on fake cures are just that fake.. I was told that sinus issues also were a possible issue, and using sinus medications would make the tinnitus ringing louder.. anyone ran into these issues?

RichL,
Would you mind sharing that PDF document with me? I trust your judgment that it is the same as Tinnitus Miracle, and more or less a scam. But, I haven't seen tinnitus miracle and I would like to read through this one. Thanks!

Hi Rich,
Me too please. My Dad suffers terribly. I would love to help him get some relief. Thank you.

Please stop and think ...do you honestly think there is some revelation in these scam books??? They feed on all our fears.Do you again believe there is anything in those that are not to be found on this Forum?,,,or The RNID tinnitus Forum or anywhere else on the Internet?
I despise these people and they need a smack on the jaw.

This kind of thing just chaps my rear!!! It is unconscionable that these people can prey on those of us who endure this frustration non-stop for years on end. I'm vacillating between wanting to cry and wanting to knee him in the groin.

The only "cures" I have found are falling asleep, at which time I'm just not aware of the ringing, or the very few times I have had an ear infection. At that point the ear canal gets completely inflamed and cuts off the high pitched buzz. However, it doesn't actually go quiet, as I start hearing the sound of my blood coursing through my veins. Very soothing.

They mention Choline as the active chemical in the foodstuffs. I wonder if this is picked up from valid research?

For myself, I have recently been feeling a little nauseous and worried if it is the onset of Meunières disease. I have had Tinnitus since 1998 and it had been unchanged until now. Mine is a high pitched whistle/hiss.
Unfortunately if I get a virus or cold my balance is also badly affected. For this I take betaserc 16 mg.
Betahistine Dihydrochloride made by Abbot. In UK I took an effective drug (name escapes me) but in Middle East it is used only for controlling Schizophrenia so is only available in Mental Institutions - sometimes the Tinnitus makes me feel like a good candidate for that place.
I was advised by a fellow sufferer to try a few drops of warm olive oil in the ear to relieve balance problems. This is next on my list to try.
My sympathies for all sufferers and I share your fervent hope and desire for some relief even if a cure is not likely.

Hi,

It's not often I ever post on message boards but I thought I have to on this occasion. I've always had a mild ringing sound in my head since birth and it has always slightly annoyed me, I supposed it's just one of those things I would like to erase I suppose. I've never been exposed to Loud noises and I have no clue why my Tinnitus has always been there. I've researched online and I've came to the conclusion I have Somatic Tinnitus, when I raise my Jaw it raise's in pitch so I think this has something to do with the Nerve System. I've never actually seen a Specialist but I will do soon. Like we all know, Tinnitus is a symptom so it could be a huge array of different causes in the body, which is why I think it is so complex and difficult to understand.

I ordered Tinnitus Miracle last year, January 2014, I was very skeptical and disappointed in the Book and never followed it through, It basically tells you information about how to change your lifestyle, eat very healthy, don't eat junk food, don't drink alcohol & take drugs, go to the gym, take up Yoga. I'm a pretty fit, healthy, 30 year old that goes to the gym everyday and has a reasonably good diet. I thought to myself I already do these things anyway yet my tinnitus is still here. After that I never even looked at Tinnitus Miracle again yet I probably should have asked for my money back. Today searching online, not even researching Tinnitus, I came across Reverse my Tinnitus, yet skeptical, bought it anyway hoping for these magic, secret, food ingredients for tinnitus. What do I discover, it is more or less the exact same thing as Tinnitus Miracle, just in a slightly different format. I could not believe it. Also another thing, Tinnitus Miracle, Reverse my Tinnitus are the same Organization, it comes under your bank as CLKBANK. Also, after researching this forum, Tinnitus Remedy is the exact same as well. Thomas Coleman (Tinnitus Miracle) and Alan Watson are probably complete fabricated names that probably don't exist, with a complete made up story, it's make sense now.

What this Organization are trying to achieve I think are for the more severe tinnitus suffers and not for people like myself where it is only slightly mild, there trying to train your brain to forget your tinnitus by changing your complete lifestyle, I've no doubt in my mind that will improve your tinnitus slightly but it will always be there. They are scamming you but in a very clever, legit way.

Also what I noticed about the Reverse my Tinnitus book, and somebody else mentioned it on here. I have read the main parts of this book and not once did I see the Myelin Sheath & Antibodies being mentioned. I was expecting the book to go in more detail on this subject but it doesn't.

I have asked for a refund for Both Tinnitus Miracle & Reverse my Tinnitus and it will be interesting to see if I do. Yet all I can say is stay away from these websites, I don't believe there the answer your looking for with there complete Misleading Video's...and that is the best fitted word I can use...Misleading.

Yet researching Tinnitus I found this video:

I think this is the way forward for Tinnitus, Acoustic CR Neuromodulation. I've sent these guy's e-mails in the past whilst living in Australia yet I'm now I'm finally gonna get round to pay them a visit. I checked there website before and from what I remember, it was expensive, but I think it's worth paying them a small fee for a check up at least and they should give you a thorough diagnostic of what the root of your Tinintus might be.

Yesterday I chose to follow BTA on Twitter, and today all of a sudden "Tinnitus Erase" started following me.

Does anyone know what that is?

I'm not very active at all on Twitter, just curious what it is. My spider sense starts tingeling, sensing scam. ;)
It's advertising Reverse My Tinnitus (moved your post here from the separate thread):

Thank God there is another way to cure me of my tinnitus (sarcastic voice). Now if I could find "highbloodpressureErase" and "highcholesterolErase" I would be 100%! :D

I was just reading a good article on "Snake Oil" which really did exist a some point and was valid treatment for pain...but then it became a big "con" and "scam" as the real snakeoil was eliminated from the product. Funny how we still have this Snake Oil today but with just different names. The SnakeOil article: http://patients.about.com/od/decisionmaking/a/Snakeoil.htm

Hi Rich, I'm Marlyn from Philippines..I am also a tinnitus sufferer since 1998 and it worsen now..and it is very irritating and makes me feel depress all the time..Would you mind if I ask you to send the pdf copy? Just wanna give it a try.I am very desperate to cure my tinnitus..Thank you..:)

Looking forward to your response RichL..Thank you..

Actually there seems to be a copy of the suspicious PDF:
[ moderator: link removed due to being copyrighted "work" ]
It helped me to build my own opinion about the document:
- anonymous work, no author name (why?)
- not any mention of myelin sheeth etc.
- contains only commonplaces. Okay, you cannot go wrong following advices how to mend a healthy life, but is there really any specific information?

None at all that I could find, just generic cut-and paste.

There is no registered copyright for it either. I wonder if this is because of some of the detective work done recently on the tinnitus miracle author (and author of several other scams). They most likely don't want people to know who they are and where they are based, because of the backlash they will get from a lot of people.
