Scam?: Tinnitus Retrain System

"Our TRS video assisted bundle usually sells for $127.99. Buy the entire TRS system including two additional,
powerful bonus gifts for a very limited time.

TODAY$47.99

Keep in mind $47.99 is far less than the price of one session with a habituation therapist, Specialist, or continuous drug prescriptions, vitamins or herbs. And none of them promise to give you a money back guarantee if you do not see positive results in 30 days…."

The money back guarantee is good, but the "Buy now today only" is a total scam. Still, if you want to be our guinea pig and report back here, go for it! :).

I'm the guinea pig for the Tinnitus Pill scam (see thread below). Also has money back guarantee. IMO, if the money back guarantee is legit, then t's worth someone trying it and reporting back here.

I have just bought this thing using my mobile. Once I clicked the purchase button, it took me to PayPal. I paid from PayPal and then it returned to the site with a download link for a zip file. I downloaded the zip file and extracted. I see that it contains 3 pdf files and a text file with some links to download some mp4 video files. I will download and check the video files once i reach my pc. I will update you what i find from these videos. I paid 37.99$. Pdf files are big. Not sure if I will have enough patience to read those files. I am mostly interested in videos.

The videos are very short, not what I was expecting. I thought, there will be a big video session of counseling.

The PDF files are really big. First PDF book is 422 pages, and the other 2 pdf files are on Yoga and Meditation.

I quickly skimmed thru the pdf files, looks like lots of advice. Now, is it scam ? Not sure if I can tell without reading all the books, and I do not have the patience to read those books. I have purchased many books on Tinnitus from Amazon. I cannot believe that these pdf has anything special. If you are really looking for reading books on Tinnitus, maybe the best book I will suggest is this one:

Tinnitus, From Tyrant to Friend: How to Let Go of Ringing in your Ears
by Julian Cowan Hill

After reading 8 books, this is the one I found which could calm me down. Julian Cowan Hill also offers free Youtube videos. So, I would suggest you check his videos. You may find peace watching those videos.

Has anybody tried this? Sounds OK, and not a lot of money, if it helps.

Edit, I was not aware that a thread already existed for this product. Well, we still don't know much about it, or whether it's worthwhile. I don't think they're promising to actually eradicate tinnitus, but to help train the mind to not be disturbed by it, and learn ways of coping which will lead to habituation. At least that is the impression I'm getting from their website and videos, but I have no idea of whether it's any good. I don't think that it could replace actual therapy with a tinnitus expert, but it doesn't sound like a total scam either, and nobody seems to have tried or explored it. It may simply be a potpourri of self-help methods, customized for tinnitus sufferers, which isn't a bad idea considering the pathetically small amount of help that is available for most who have tinnitus. I don't really need it, as I have the correct tools and support to help myself, but if I didn't I would probably give it a shot.

Spoiler: This won't be a helpful comment.

I used to click on those things all the time.

They always add up to exactly what I already know: good habits, drink less, positive mindset, centering meditation, skip the salt, good diet, exercise, and rain-checking Led Zeppelin tribute bands.

Sounds like another clever person exploiting our affliction for their own good. If Autifony failed with big bucks behind it why would you believe this person?

I have f0und it impossible to get a straight answer regarding Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. I've asked is the use masking or sound enrichment and what type and duration and all I ever hear is double talk, sign up spend a couple thousand dollars and all will be revealed. Not buying it.

@Ambassador, I've visited a tinnitus clinic this year and this is what they gave me regarding TRT. I have my own WNG's but have seldom used them. I still think my noise could be cervical caused even though I have HF hearing loss like you.

That's a good article but still leaves me wanting more of the mystery to be revealed. TRT talks about sound but then goes on to say it's not masking. I think this is hair splitting.

Any noise that I hear that distracts me from hearing my tinnitus seem to me to be masking.
